Active Subscriptions

The total number of active services, domains, addons and billable items with recurring billing.

• Services with a billing cycle of One Time or Free are excluded.
• Free services with a Recurring billing type are included.
• The count is based on the end date of the selected time range.

Whether a service is treated as an active subscription depends on the MRR Calculation Based on Active Services setting and the defined Grace Period. By default, when this option is enabled, MRR includes services with the statuses Active and Suspended. This behavior can be customized. If the option is disabled, then unpaid services past the Grace Period are excluded.

Active Subscribers

This metric represents the total number of customers with at least one active service, domain, addon or billable item on a recurring billing cycle. A customer qualifies if they hold any recurring service type, including free services billed on a recurring basis (e.g., services with a 100% discount).

Whether a service is treated as an active subscription depends on the MRR Calculation Based on Active Services setting and the defined Grace Period. By default, when this option is enabled, MRR includes services with the statuses Active and Suspended. This behavior can be customized. If the option is disabled, then unpaid services past the Grace Period are excluded. As a result, the way services are classified directly affects the customer count.

New Subscriptions

The total number of new paid active services, domains, addons and billable items with recurring billing, ordered by new subscribers within a specific time frame.

• A New Subscriber is a customer who previously did not have any subscriptions.
• If a customer purchases multiple subscriptions on the same day, and these are their first paid subscriptions, all of them are counted as New Subscriptions.

Expansion Subscriptions

The total number of new paid active services, domains, addons and billable items with recurring billing, ordered by the existing subscribers in a certain time frame.
For example:

• If a user has an active subscription and they order another one, this subscription is considered an Expansion Subscription.
• If a customer purchases their first subscription, all subscriptions purchased on that day are counted as New Subscriptions.
